Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day
Every year on March 10th — and throughout the month of March — organizations come together to shed light on the impact of HIV and AIDS on women and girls and show support for those at risk of and living with HIV.
For the past 10 years, Southern Colorado Health Network hosts an annual event in observance of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on March 10. This year, SCHN hosted a virtual livestream program to highlight the impact of HIV on women and girls.

Supporting Women in Our Communities
Tremendous progress has been made against HIV and AIDS in the U.S., but women remain vulnerable to infection — especially Black/African American and Latinx women.
In 2019, Southern Colorado Health Network served close to 160 women through case management, dental, and behavioral health programs. In addition, SCHN hosted an annual bilingual retreat for women focusing on their unique needs.
You Make This Possible
Colorado Health Network would like to thank supporters of the Women and Girls virtual event. A special thank you to Colorado House Majority Leader Daneya Esgar, Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Betsy Kleiner, SCHN Health Access Coordinator Carly Emmel, and CHN Chief Operating Officer Jessica Kobylinski.
