Colorado Health Network to Host 33rd Annual Red Ribbon Ball on April 25 at Hotel Polaris
Colorado Health Network (CHN), Colorado’s largest and oldest provider of HIV services, will host the 33rd Annual Red Ribbon Ball on Saturday, April 25, at Hotel Polaris in Colorado Springs. The evening will bring together community members, supporters, and advocates for a night of dinner, live entertainment, and a celebration of four decades of HIV care, advocacy, and community building in southern Colorado.
This year’s event carries special significance: 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of CHN’s Colorado Springs office, a milestone that reflects the organization’s enduring commitment to the communities it serves. Since opening its doors, the Colorado Springs office has provided essential health services, case management, prevention programs, and support to hundreds of Coloradans living with or affected by HIV and other health conditions.
“Forty years ago, our Colorado Springs community came together in the face of a crisis — and that spirit of resilience and care has never wavered,” said Darrell Vigil, CEO of Colorado Health Network. “The Red Ribbon Ball is our opportunity to honor that legacy, celebrate the people who make this work possible, and recommit ourselves to a future where everyone has access to the care they need.”
Funds raised at this year’s Red Ribbon Ball will directly support CHN’s Compassionate Connections Campaign, a campaign to bring all of CHN’s Colorado Springs programs and services under one roof. The new facility, planned at 10,000 – 12,000 square feet, will allow CHN to expand its integrated model of care, including dental, behavioral health, community programs, and soon medical care, all delivered in a warm, welcoming space designed to reduce stigma and foster connection. The Red Ribbon Ball will feature an exclusive VIP reception with live painting by renowned Colorado Springs artist Douglas Rouse beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by general doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy a silent auction, a four-course plated dinner, a live auction, a paddle raise, and an evening program filled with memorable performances and remarks.
The evening’s program will be hosted by Alan Rose, award-winning meteorologist for KOAA News5. The live auction portion of the evening will be run by Auctioneer Sam Milam. CEO Darrell Vigil will deliver the keynote during the event. There will be two performances during the program, the first by Vio the Violinist & Richi Ramos, a singer/violinist duo from Denver, who will also perform during the VIP reception. The latter performance will be by Evie Valentine, Colorado Springs native singer/songwriter, and closing out the night.
More than 35 curated luxury items, experiences, and original fine art by Colorado Springs artists will be available at the silent auction, which closes at 7:45 p.m. A scrumptious four-course dinner commences at 7:30 p.m., and the full program begins at 8:00 p.m. The evening is expected to conclude at approximately 9:30 p.m.
CHN’s exclusive wine partner, Grande River Vineyards, will provide table wine — one red and one white — for VIP guests, with an optional wine package available for standard table purchasers.
